The second leg of the 2025 China Figure Skating Club League has kicked off in full swing at the Harbin Ice Hockey Arena, with nearly 500 athletes from over 60 figure skating clubs across the country competing in a showcase of strength and beauty. The opening ceremony was held on the morning of the 16th at the arena.

This event is hosted by the Chinese Figure Skating Association, supported by the Harbin Sports Bureau, and organized by the Harbin Figure Skating Association. It is co-organized by the Sports Center of the Eight Districts and the Harbin Winter Sports Training Center. The six-day competition features contests in both the elite and amateur divisions.
As a qualifying event for the 2025–2026 ISU Junior Grand Prix Series, the Harbin leg has attracted many outstanding young skaters from across the nation. Notable participants include 12-year-old Liu Yuxuan, who recently landed a Sakhov quadruple jump at the season’s opening competition in Jinan; promising women's singles skaters Jin Shuxian, Gao Shiqi, and two athletes named Wang Yihan from Beijing and Harbin respectively. Also competing is An Xiangyi, who represented China in the women’s singles at last season’s World Championships. The junior pairs champions of last season’s ISU Grand Prix Final, Zhang Jiaxuan and Huang Yihang, will also make their season debut here. Renowned former national team members such as Zhao Hongbo, Tong Jian, Li Chengjiang, Li Yunfei, Zheng Xun, Yan Han, Wu Jialiang, and Chen Hong will be participating as coaches.

The China Figure Skating Club League, launched by the Figure Skating Association in 2018, has revolutionized the traditional competition format dominated by championships and grand prix events. It better meets the public’s diverse interests in winter sports.
Through this league, the general public can experience the charm and achievements of winter sports more directly, boosting their enthusiasm and support. The league has also built a bridge for local clubs to supply talent to the national team, encouraging broader participation from social organizations and clubs in exploring more diverse pathways for talent development.
This year’s China Figure Skating Club League includes five stops: Jinan, Harbin, Altay, Suzhou, and Beijing. Among them, Harbin and Beijing serve as qualifying events for the 2025–2026 ISU Junior Grand Prix Series, drawing a large number of young skaters to compete in Harbin.
