Certification process 

1. Submit the foreign birth certificate to the law firm or notary office for notarization;

2. Submit the notarized birth certificate to the local government department and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country for authentication;

3. Submit the birth certificate certified by the local government department and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country to the Chinese embassy in the country for consular authentication;

4. The notarized and certified legal documents can be sent back to China for use.
